PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES

SHOWCASE

A regular opportunity for choreographers to show up to 10 minutes of work in progress in front of an audience, to see what works and what needs work, and develop their audience. Participation is absolutely free, and includes the services of Good Trouble Makers’ technical director to run sound and insure a successful show for all. The show concludes with a short artist talk so the audience can share their experience and any feedback the choreographers request.

SALON SERIES

An opportunity for choreographers to show up to 30 minutes of work in progress in front of an audience, to see what works and what needs work, and develop their audience. This is also an opportunity for local presenters to come see new artists to add to their rosters for possible future booking. Participation includes the services of Good Trouble Makers’ technical director to run sound and insure a successful show for all. The show concludes with an in formal artist talk at a local bar/restaurant.

COLABS

CoLabs are knowledge and skill sharing sessions that are experimental in nature. They prioritize thoughtful use of language and structure, playful risk taking, and challenging ideas of form and technique. The form of our CoLabs are limited only by the imagination of the participants.

M.C. CLASS

Monthly Community Class functions as a community hub where choreographers can develop local dance talent by teaching occasionally, and dancers can forge relationships with each other and local teacher/choreographers.

Each month 2 different teachers will share a 2 hour time block. Established teachers will share time with up and coming teachers so our community is always welcoming new voices and all teachers are constantly cross pollinating each others practice and following.

The current teaching roster includes:

Kevin Williamson, Bernard Brown, Stephanie Zaletel, Jacob Jonas The Company, Becca Lemme, Kyle Abraham and many more.

THE HALL METHOD+

The Hall Method + Good Trouble Makers offer regular intensives combining GTM’s experimental movement CoLabs and The Hall Method’s unique cross training classes.

Through its medically patent pending and doctor-endorsed classes, The Hall Method empowers dancers, at all levels, to become physically strong, flexible, and resilient athletes. The Hall Method prepares dancers to meet the demands of their training, career, and artistic expression with confidence and free of injury.

SUNDAY FUNDAY

A monthly get-together where Good Trouble Makers' members play and experiment with movement ideas, improvisation, skill sharing, and live music.

Sunday Fundays are free and open to the public by invitation only. Get in touch or say hi at one of our events if you’re interested in coming out to learn stuff, share stuff, & do fun stuff!
